Tuesday’s news of a full hardware unlock of the iPhone was a huge achievement for hackers of the device. Unfortunately, the team responsible chose to delay the release of the unlocking procedure, in the hopes of finding a (much easier) software unlock. The leader of the group, George Hotz, is leaving for college, and apparently won’t have time to continue his iPhone hacking, and thus he’s chosen to release the hardware unlock instructions so other iPhone owners can benefit from the knowledge
