Consumer Reports Still Won’t Recommend iPhone 4

Inspired by a friend’s iphone wallpaper a created this black leather wallpaper for the iphone 4 retina display resolution of 960×640 px.
The wallpaper is based on one of webtreatsetc’s fantastic textures. I used this picture of black leather texture which I slightly modified in Photoshop to match the right resolution and give it a bit more crispness.
Consumer Reports Still Won’t Recommend iPhone 4
Consumer Reports will continue to not recommend the iPhone 4 to its readers, apparently as long as Apple refuses to offer free, easily accessible cases to solve the so-called “death grip” issue.

Consumer Reports Reiterates Caution Against iPhone 4
Consumer Reports, one of the most widely respected consumer advocacy resources, is once again slamming the Apple iPhone 4. In response to Apple’s decision to end the free case program it implemented to address the iPhone 4 “antennagate” issue, Consumer Reports stressed that it still can not recommend a device that places the burden on users to mitigate a hardware design flaw.

iPhone 4 Case Program to end September 30
Attention, iPhone 4 users who haven’t yet snagged a free case from Apple: your days are numbered. Kind of. Apple recently updated the page on its iPhone 4 Case Program to say that the offer would be discontinued as of September 30, after the company had concluded that the antenna attenuation issue was not as widespread as had been thought.
